Prevention and Wellness Programs
Our Prevention and Community Support programs are here to help families with young children (from before birth up to age 6). These programs focus on building strong social, emotional, and developmental skills right from the start.
Programs include:
- Healthy Beginnings – a group for parents before and after birth. Register by March 31.
- Cradlelink – support for parents and caregivers with babies aged 0–12 months with a Registered Nurse
- Brighter Futures – parenting groups and community drop-ins
For more details about these and other groups, visit our Groups and Workshops page.
We are proud to partner with Grey County to run two EarlyON Child and Family Centres:
- Owen Sound EarlyON – East Ridge Community School
- Meaford EarlyON – Georgian Bay Community School
EarlyON Centres are free, welcoming spaces for parents, caregivers, and children (from before birth to age 6). At these centres, families can:
- Take part in fun, play-based activities that support healthy child development
- Find helpful information about parenting, child development, health, nutrition, and local services
- Connect with other families in a safe and supportive environment
- Get advice from early years professionals who can answer questions about your child’s growth and learning
No sign-up is needed for drop-in visits. Families are welcome to come regularly or whenever it works best for them.
Our Building Resiliency Program, delivered in partnership with Grey County, provides social and emotional support to licensed child care centres.
The program helps educators build their skills to support children’s mental health, encourage healthy development, and create strong, caring learning environments.
